One day in my 30s I saw a TV ad of a local P2P platform and decided to give it a go. I was always interested in money investments but never really had time and knowledge how to start this. I even opened a securities account in one of the banks long long time ago, but never made any investment. After that I have found couple other P2P lending platforms and started my research on this type of investment. It was easy, couple clicks, identification and you ready to go. That’s how I found the FIRE community. It was something unbelievable for me, but the more I was reading about that the more I was shocked about people saving 75% of their monthly salary and living with less than 1000€ per month. And the whole idea that you will have to live with that your whole life. I do not think I will be able to do this nor I want to do this. I want to live today, not (maybe) after 10-20 years, so I decided to be somewhere in between. I want to save and invest some money but I also want to travel and buy things and live comfortably not in some shady rented place. Maybe you feel the same? Or maybe completely different. I will try to write about my financial journey, which is currently somewhere between a hardened FIRE enthusiast and life today.
